if you asked how i know
you i'd say we met
somewhere beneath our lives
i'd say i met you in your deep
breathing and in your
face so warm it melts
your cool restraints.
i'd say i heard you first in your
outburst of spontaneity
and from then
on as much in your
silence as your
speech. i'd say we met
in the heart of a conspriracy
when we began to breathe
together.
